Vampires vs. Zombies is a time management strategy game where you play with the vampires against the zombies. It all starts out when an African leader decides to use zombies in order to take over the world. When the vampires hear about this, they realize that the only way they can remain the most evil being in the world, is to defeat the zombies.
The game has an overall funny feel about it and everything contributes to that. The artwork is very cartoony, with some zombies being dressed like teenagers with hoodies, and others being dressed like american football players. The sounds and music also contribute to the funny environment. The storyline is also pretty hilarious. The vampire headquarters is a castle located in Transylvania. From here you select the levels and here is also where most of the story happens. You have a lot of rooms that will help you in different ways, some just for target practice, another ones for the sake of the storyline, others like the Laboratory are necessary to buy new technology, while some of them are just for fun.
The purpose of the game is to defeat the zombies, and the only way you can do that is to constantly advance through the levels. With each new level, you gain more advanced technology and the zombies become stronger and stronger. The in-game tutorial really explains everything properly and on-the-go, which I found very useful. Every time you meet new enemies, the game freezes and a small window appears explaining how you can defeat them. The same happens with new technology that can be purchased at the Laboratory. Every time you finish a level, you gain certain points that can be used to buy new items. However, this cannot be done randomly, because in order to advance through the levels you need to constantly buy new technology, otherwise, you can't even start the new levels. This, I think, is done in order to maintain the gradual increase in difficulty.
Overall, it is a very nice game with lot of entertainment, and due to the fact that it can be played only with the mouse it is also quite easy to play.
